Dear Mel Parents/Guardians,

As we officially close this school year, we want to sincerely thank you for your consistent support, cooperation, and trust throughout the session. We’re proud to share that the term was filled with meaningful learning, growth, and achievement. Some of the highlights include:

OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE

Our promise to reward hard work based on the cumulative average as at 3rd term, starts from September 2025. Please endeavor to check your ward’s result to confirm if he/ she qualifies.


GRADUATION CELEBRATION

We thank our parents and friends for their support during the just concluded graduation ceremony and prize giving day, you are truly the best!


NEW HEAD OF SCHOOL

With the introduction of a Head of School, who oversees the activities in all the sections of the school, we believe we are able to fight all administrative challenges and stabilize the school. We plead for your maximum support


WAEC/NECO

Our school presented her first set of candidates for the WAEC and NECO examination and we truly appreciate your support towards ensuring it was a hitch-free exercise.

All other external examinations, the BECE and PSLAT were taken this term. GPT was taken in 2nd term


SUMMER SCHOOL

Summer School begins on August 11, 2025. Please register your wards as it promises to be more exciting than we can imagine; focusing on Handwriting, Diction, Puzzle, ICT

and Science Practical. Bring your friends. SS3 students are encouraged to take advantage of this to be well grounded in science practical


CRAFT EXHIBITION


We had our craft practical presentation in May and it was a huge fun for the pupils and students


SCHOOL AESTHETICS

We have started with changing the looks of our school interior and external looks. We have also installed CCTV cameras, inverter batteries to help power our computers and the cameras as well. We will gradually introduce our pupils and students to the full use of computers and its features. We will appreciate your support in all of this.


STORY BOOKS

Lots of story books and other learning aids have been purchased to help increase the reading culture of the children. We shall focus on this starting from August 2025

EXCURSION


Our grades 4, 5 and 6 pupils had an excursion to the National Museum of Colonial History, Ikot Ekpene Road. This was to further expose the children to a topic in their History scheme – Historical sites and features. We plan to do more

of practical learning from the new school year

CHANGE CHAMPIONS

We appreciate our Change Champions for their support in the just ended academic session and plead for more presence in the new school year. Please go for another tenor.


WEAVING OF HAIR


While we encourage our female students to come to school in low cut, we will permit weaving all back without attachments or beads, if there is any religious or family reasons why they cannot cut their hair. However, any student with untidy hair will be sent home.
